Did the Republicans pass a law allowing 15 year old teenagers to get married? If so, can you provide a link.

I found this: LINK
  • The state of Washington is one of 43 in the U.S. that allow children to get married.
  • A bill to end child marriage in Washington has been tabled until 2024 after it was held up in the Senate Law and Justice Committee.

Florida used to allow it until people came to their senses in 2017 and voted it to be illegal. Now it's 18.

Take the polticial hyperventilation out of the equation. All that is doing is trying to bait an argument.

Here's a page of facts. I know, it's no fun, but that's OK.

In total, there are 36 states that allow marriages at 16 years old. There are 5 states that allow marriage at 17 years old – Arkansas, Indiana, Nebraska, Oregon, and Washington. Three states have a minimum marriage age at the age of 18 – Kentucky, Louisiana, and West Virginia. Two states have a minimum marriage age at 15 years old, Hawaii and Missouri, and two states have the lowest minimum marriage age, which is 14 years old. Those states are Massachusetts and New Hampshire.

Seems like if a too-young couple according to their home state want to marry, all they need to do is 'elope' to a neighboring state.

If they aren't old enough to vote, they sure as fuck aren't old enough to get married.

15 year olds are impulsive and still growing into the person they going to be, they shouldn't be allowed to get married just yet.
