When you come down to it.... for being in the middle of WWII when filmed, they did OK.




And they were very flexible at that!
 
I just showed that clip to a friend who is down here working today, and he wondered why that would be in a movie.

I showed him the date, and it didn't mean anything to him, he's yet another victim of the public school system, having graduated just a few years ago.

Then I explained that that routine, with the three pretty girls, was most likely a big part of why that movie was made, and, it is quite likely, although I don't know for certain and don't want to even try to find out, that American G.I.s in Europe and the Pacific may well have seen it before a lot of people in the US did.

It was a hell of a lot easier, cheaper, and safer, to fly a movie into some island with the Japanese just over the hill than it was to try to get any other entertainment in, including a USO show.
 
Said friend then played some AI enhanced electric K-pop auto-tune nightmare and told me it was "epic".

I put this on and just told him to sit and watch it, then tell me about "epic".



He said he'd never seen that before.
