Today during the setup and prep for the Thursday night music and meal program, one of the "older gentlemen" started in about how awful "today's music" was. How it demeaned women, and was all about sex and drugs and....

I stopped him and asked him if he remembered Andy Williams.

Then I played this nightmare from 1966, (video from 67):

Every generation’s media was the greatest ever, and everything after is shit.

It is fun getting older and seeing kids/young adults glorifying my generation’s stuff saying “that’s when it was last good” despite people talking shit about it when it was contemporary.

But then I remembered that this particular older gentleman... who is over ninety... some time ago blamed the Internet for sexualizing children.

So I showed him this picture, from 1932, and asked him how old he thought the girls in front of the sign were.
