Toni Storm can’t believe that she just lost the AEW women’s world championship

Kris Statlander shocks the world by winning the AEW women’s world title at All Out.

Today’s (Sept. 20) All Out pay-per-view looked like a very predictable card, in terms of the expected winners and losers for most of the 14 matches. But AEW had to throw at least one major curve ball into the mix, right?

The big surprise finish came when AEW Women’s World Champion “Timeless” Toni Storm defended the gold in a 4-way match against Thekla, Kris Statlander, and Jamie Hayter. Toni just retained her belt in much higher profile matches this summer against stars like Mercedes Mone and Athena, but flukier things can happen in a chaotic 4-way match.

Case in point, Kris Statlander won the match out of nowhere using the seatbelt pin on the champ.

Toni was in complete shock that her lengthy title reign had such an unceremonious and abrupt ending.

The seatbelt pin is a move out of Wheeler Yuta’s playbook, and Stat has been using it ever since he’s been in her ear trying to recruit her into the Death Riders. Will Stat reconsider the offer now that she holds the top women’s prize in AEW?[/quote]
