Since I know some people (even at college) who do feel scared of natural things like that... Well: Are you scared of earthquakes?

Tell us here. :|

I have felt small tremors and those scared me. I would freak if they were really strong!

Seems I'm the only one who does NOT freak out when something like that happens.
This started back in 2012 or so. When someone alerted about it, most people were either confused, freaked or crying. But among them, I was the only one who didn't go through those states at all. Even last year, another signal woke my family up, except me. After I told my friends about it and what happened to me, they had a "WTH?!" feeling, since it woke them up too.

Lol I am so used to them being in New Zealand. They do sometimes scare me though as it goes quiet for a few weeks then a small one pops in to remind us of our horrible time a couple of years ago.

If a really really strong earthquake hits, you should take the proper precautions and not brush it off. The building you're in could crumble and kill you. :dontknow:

I'm terrified of natural disasters, I always thought that living in New York was great because we don't really get earthquakes very often or anything along those lines but then 9/11 happened and it made me realize you never know whats gonna happen. A few summers ago I spent the night playing video games and eventually I passed out around 9 AM, I woke up to a small earthquake and I almost crapped my pants xD

"Scarred"? no.

Somewhat concerned now that we now live in the northern reaches of the New Madrid Zone and the Wabash Fault is not too far from here?

Yes.

The preparations I have made for that are pretty much the same as I make for severe weather, which in Illinois, is Year Round.

I have a couple of working flashlights, basic first aid kit, battery powered radio, bottled water, and canned food in a central area of the house where it can be reached easily.

When we lived on the East Coast, it was all in a milk crate ready to "grab and go" on short notice during Hurricane Season.

I'm not afraid there will be one. The earthquakes we get are only noticeable by reading the news.
Having an 'actual' earthquake would be rather disturbing, if only because they don't happen.

I've experienced an earthquake before. It's a really weird feeling, but I wouldn't say I was scared. Once a natural disaster hits, there's literally nothing you can do to stop it.

And this year ocurred another tremor which DIDN'T wake me up, but did with others. This time my classmates didn't have a "WTF?" feeling after saying that. Because they don't give a crap about what I think.
