Are you one that usually gets asthma yearly or more often? My asthma has hit pretty bad recently but I'm keeping up with the inhalers, cough drops and cough syrup and it's helping.

I can't remember having it this bad for a couple of years at least. Last year I just had a persistent cough that wouldn't go away for a couple of months.

This year has been more stressful trying to get rid of it quickly because I'm taking family to the movies tomorrow.

I'm sorry you're going through this. Have you seen your doctor yet?

I've seen him once and he put me on some higher inhalers. A lot of people are sick at the moment around this town :(
I knew someone in my ex wife's family (who passed away) whose asthma was so bad that she had to use a machine that did breath treatments for her. It was for when it got real real bad.

I've still got the stupid cough. My doctor gave me some antibiotics and prednisone which haven't done anything. She said it was a chest infection 🤦‍♀️

I'm seeing the doctor next Monday but I really think she's going to run out of options soon for my cough.

The only thing I'm thankful for is that it doesn't wake me up during the night.

My asthma was worse as a child living in California (had a nebulizer machine for attacks at home). When we moved to Oregon, I only really got asthma attacks when I had a respiratory illness or I was doing some sort of running/climbing up a lot of stairs.

Do you happen to have allergies? They can trigger asthma attacks. Antihistamine (Cetirizine, Loratadine/Desloratadine, ...) can help you. You can't combine allergy pills just like that (they usually are bad for the liver) and you can't take more than your dose, but if you don't take any yet, I would bring it up with your doctor. If I haven't eaten in a few hours, the pills kick in about 15 mins after taking them. With food, it's slower.

I do not have asthma. However, I felt shortness of breath when I got viral gastroenteritis infection. It was similar to what you experience when you get asthma. By the Grace and Mercy of Allah Almighty, I got recovered.
