Being Sick

Really. Last year, I was sick and missed school. I didn't remember til about noon that day that there was a cake auction (all week, the 2nd period classes put in money and on Friday, the class selects 2 representatives and we have a cake auction and then we get to eat it). I was ticked off.

Aw, that's too bad! I would've been mad too, especially since I'd have missed eating cake!

Yeah. There's been a flu and swine flu outbreak at my school, but not enough to be shut down.

I think the nurse said 36 cases in High School, 1 in Middle School, and 12 in Elementary School.

So far we had 80 at our town's school. We've got three schools, so I don't know if this was 80 as of all three schools, or 80 alone just in the high school, or what it was. Either way, that's equivalent to one whole graduating class!

I live in a small town, so one grade here is just about 50 people. I think my grade has 54 people in it.

We qualified to be out of school on Wednesday, but we had something about our state exams and we couldn't take off.

Plus our school would lose money, and we don't want that.
