A Certified Birth Certificate is absolutely required to go to kindergarten.

DANVILLE — School district 118 is having kindergarten pre-registration Monday through Friday.

Steps: Take the child to your residential area school between the 8:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. To make other arrangements, contact the school directly. Bring the following: state certified birth certificate, current physical (within past year), immunization record, Social Security number and proof of residency such as a utility bill.

For information, call the school nearest your home or call Dianna Kirk, 444-....

But it isn't for..... .... ....

And to mention it makes you a hate filled birther.

I just found it interesting.

OH wow. I never new that.

Not sure what this debate is about to be honest. Here is a list of requirements to enroll in kindergarten in my state:

September 1, 2011. Parents must bring the following items to registration (without this paperwork, your child may not start school):

* Immunization records – Please get a copy now from your child’s doctor and bring it with you at the time of registration. This information is required by the State Department of Health.

* Birth certificate

* Proof of residency

One of the following documents is required to verify residency:

• A current property tax bill

• Current mortgage papers/closing statement showing a local address and the name of the legal parent/guardian or custodian

• Formal lease showing the name, address, and telephone number of the landlord; local address; and name of lessee

• A notarized letter from the landlord stating the address of the residence being leased and the name(s) of the lessee(s) with the landlord’s address and telephone number

Two of the following documents are in addition to the required verify residency:

• Valid state driver’s license with local address

• Valid state non-driver ID with local address

• Current utility bill in your name with local address

• Valid public aid card

• Bank statement for last or current month (financial information omitted) with local address

On the day of the registration, your child will take part in a two-hour screening.

Parents do not accompany their child during the screening process.

Appointments are required; please call the primary school in your neighborhood to schedule an appointment.

So unless I'm missing something here, what are we debating?

The only thing I can get out of this is this is a veiled jab at how the President doesn't need to show a birth certificate to be president but a kindergarten student needs it to go to school. Probably trying to point out a double standard I suppose. Still don't see what we are supposed to be debating though.

Blue got it. Although it wasn't that veiled a reference.

I honestly don't care if Mr. Obama is American, Kenyan, or Martian. It is a little late now to worry about it.

The man is President. Period. The legality of his run should have been discussed prior to the primaries three years ago. Without that, we really don't even know how old he actually is. Never mind the debate about whether he was adopted in Indonesia and would therefore have dual citizenship and whether or not that would render him ineligible even if he was born in Hawaii.

Right?

However, the loophole in the law that allowed him to file without disclosing said information should be closed. To wit, you must prove who and what you are to go to Kindergarten.

It is also interesting to note that he co-sponsored the bill in the Senate that allowed Mr. McCain to run as he was born in the Panama Canal Zone on a US military base, yet has not produced similar records for himself.

But. As he is the incumbent, the entire matter is academic. To invalidate his election now would make a political mess that would make Watergate and all following 'gates' look like the White House Easter Egg Roll.

I, for one, would rather not go through that.

Why care about something like this? It has absolutely nothing to do with politics.

Still odd how it took that long and that much bad noise to have something released that should have been public when he ran for the Illinois Senate.

Have all the white Presidents of the United States been asked to make their birth certificates public when they ran for office? How funny that because he's a black people feel he needs to produce proof he was born in the United States. What are we playing the race card here?

Ugh....I'm sick of hearing and reading about this. I say all the bigots need to crawl back in the hole they came out of. I'm sure Donald Trump can dig a big enough hole for all of them to fit into comfortably.

Well, in the case of the White guy that ran against him last time.... Yeah, McCain had to prove to the US Congress that he was indeed born on a US Military Base in the Canal Zone.

But in the end, It is all in the eye, and mind, of the beholder.

People will believe exactly what they want to believe.

I think the US citizens have bigger things to worry about other than if Obama was born alive in the US.

The fact is that this debate was settled during the primaries and there has been no question about the location of his birth in the mind of any rational person since then.

The initial certification of live birth issued by the state of Hawaii satisfied the legal standard of proving naturalized citizenship, and is the same document that you can use to get a passport and in place of your long form birth certificate anywhere. It is ridiculous that this has gone on to the point where he actually had to ask the state of Hawaii to release his long form certificate.

Here is the leader of the crazies:

Actually the certification of live birth that Obama initially provided would satisfy the requirement being perpetrated in these kindergarten classrooms.

Therefore your argument is null and void.

I urge you to recant that which you have espoused that contradicts the universal truth of the law.
