A video of an 11-year-old boy challenging a heavy metal band's lead guitarist to a solo duel - and winning - is going viral.

Nearly two million people have watched the clip of Aidan Fisher playing with LA band Steel Panther.

His first solo, to the band's version of Eddie Van Halen's Eruption, was so good that they kept him on stage for a second song, The Kinks' You Really Got me.

Aidan attended the gig in Kansas City with his dad, carrying a sign which read: "I challenge Satchel to a guitar solo."

"They've brought people out of the audience to play before, so I thought, what the heck, we'll make a sign and see what happens," the boy's dad told KETV.

Satchel is the band name given to Russ Parrish, who also performs backing vocals. He signed the sign afterwards with the words: "Aiden(sic) - you won!"

So, what do think?

He's really great. :O

That being said, a Steel Panther show is not really for an 11 year old? lmao

He's very good and so happy he got to play.
