Brooklyn police-involved shooting leaves man dead; Bratton cites accidental discharge.

A man is dead after a police-involved shooting in an East New York building Thursday night, and police are classifying the incident as an accidental discharge.

How the hell do you accidentally discharge a weapon. You remove the weapon by choice, you point the weapon by choice, but then you want to tell me and the world that it was accidentally discharged? Wow! Just Wow!!! :s

Your thoughts?

There are going to be a lot of tough questions for this green cop to answer.  Why was his gun unholstered?  Why were these 2 cops conducting this "exercise" in a public building?  What was the purpose of the "exercise"? Why were 2 apparently green officers sent on an "exercise" like this on their own, without proper, knowledgeable supervision?

Anyone who knows the first thing about guns knows:  If you're not about to kill something, your finger stays OFF the trigger.  Period.  This is not a suggestion, a passing thought that might be worth considering, this is the ONLY way to handle a weapon. This idiot cop MUST be removed from the force RIGHT NOW, and have at least manslaughter charges brought on him.  And he should NEVER be allowed to own another weapon.  EVER.

Absolutely agree.
