Do you think it’s silly to call yourself a CEO of a small nonprofit website? Or do you think people can call themselves this?

For now until TO grows and it can be my main job I call myself the Operator, what’s everyone else views on this?

Not for me, to be honest. My general discussion forum is more of a hobby so I would never take it that seriously.

No offense to anyone but I would find it pretty cringe as well if someone called themselves the CEO of a forum lol

I tend to stick away from CEO, it's just too farfetched. Unless there' a board of governors or executives in other positions within the organization, then you are, by default, the chief executive, as they're the lone executive. So owner/operator or head admin are really all you need to differentiate yourself.

That’s true, Even when Zuckerberg started I believe he just called himself the operator, Besides unless you start making money from your project I can agree CEO is to much of a overboard saying. ?

meh, I rather not be considered CEO, to formal/suity sounding.
I just call my self owner and that is enough.
CEO seems too professional for a general forum. Agreed as it sounds to formal/suity sounding.

I call myself the Operator/Founder, until it’s active enough to make it a living I have to agree, CEO is to professional & business sounding.

I just say I'm the Founder and Lead Admin. :)
If Hall Tech and Web ever gets to where it's making money (its a hobby right now) I probably won't call myself CEO. :)
