Do you cheat in video games ever?

Do you think games are funner when you have extra advantages or do you like the challenge of playing it without cheating?

It depends. In some games, cheating is basically mandatory for full completion. An example would be Final Fantasy IX (from which my username is derived). To acquire it, you have to reach the final dungeon and defeat a boss named Lich, in under 12 hours. A crazy feat, especially when going for a 100% run. The only other way is to run the in-game timer until it resets back to 00:00, which is (2^32)/60, or over two years assuming the game is turned on continuously. So in that case, unless you want a load of headaches, cheating is best.

I don't condone cheating in multiplayer games. I don't mind people having an unfair advantage over the AI, but doing it vs other players isn't right.

I hate cheaters in multiplayer games. In single player it depends though. If the story is really good be the gameplay sucks for the most part I'll cheat my character up to the point where it one shots most normal mobs to get through the combat parts. Same with replaying, don't wanna put as much effort in it as the first time.

Also sometimes cheats are just really fun. I remember getting god mode and then just shooting up the place in GTA. Ahh good times.

I used to in single players like GTA. Used to have cheat codes to get unlimited ammo & health. Spent hours killing people and blowing up cars/helicopters with a massive flamethrower!

I can't stand cheaters in multiplayer games. Usually see them on Halo or Fifa!
