🎶 My boy Lollipop
You make my heart go giddy-up
You set the world on fire
You are my one desire
Oh, my Lollipop 🎶

Hey y'all, what's going on today?

Good Morning! It's 60° with thunderstorms. We lost power 2 hours ago but we have a Generac. LOVE having one! It's an investment but if you can afford it, it's worth the peace of mind. Anybody have one?

No, unfortunately I don't have a jenny. I probably should look into buying one.

They are definitely nice to have! We had a portable one but this area tends to lose power a lot more than at our old house. I didn't feel comfortable running the portable one so my husband had to come home from work.

I've never operated one before. How do they work?

Do you plug them in and pull the cord to start it?

For the portable one, I only tried it a few times but pulling that cord, similar to a lawnmower, was tedious. Plus I didn't pull it hard enough so it didn't start with me. I could however push the button to turn it off lol
We had a long extension cord & would alternate what we had plugged in. The fridge all the time & then the computer or heater as applicable.
The Whole-home (Generac) kicks on within a minute of losing power. Don't have to do anything.
Home Depot, Lowe's, Menards carries generators & they'd be able to explain more in depth. :)
