Comments on .co.cc domain names

What are your comments on co.cc domain names? A couple of people said my promotion forum would fail but I almost have 100 members and 3000 posts. Oh, and almost 500 topics.

You'd be cheaper buying a .info domain, as after the first year you are charged $3

co.cc's are the best sounding and easy to remember of all the free domains. However I would never use one. When using those domains, you arent the registered owner. They own it and can do whatever they want with it.

If you're looking to get big, .co.cc domains are bad for SEO anyway. Try sytes.net instead, I think that's at least a bit better, but I'm not 100% sure.

100% agreed. If you want to go big co.cc isn't for you. But you could always switch once you get the money for a domain.

I would use co.cc if I was to use a free domain as it's the best free domain you can get IMO... though I use and much prefer paid domains.



As for sytes.net... really easy to remember.
