Why do people have a deviance towards country music?

I just recently experience that, two country music listeners had been convinced that the country musician I listen to
is a rap artist.

So why do people show deviance towards it?

I thought all country music for the most part sounds the same. Annoying shit that makes your ear drums ache.

Country music is worthy of all emotions. That's all I can say about it except I hope you enjoy it if you like it

Honestly I wonder if people just hate on it like they hate on Nickleback, because it's "popular" to hate on it. Though honestly I don't care for the really twangy country music, but I do like Shania Twain and there are some other country songs I like.

I am not a fan of country but I don't hate it. I don't mind it if a co-worker wants to listen to it while working. No biggie.
