Clocks will fall back to standard time Sunday (Nov. 2), at 2 a.m. Smartphones with automatic date and time settings will make the change for users; but people with analog clocks and watches will have to manually set their timepieces back an hour. (We suggest making the adjustment before bed on Saturday night.)

Daylight saving time is different for the Northern and Southern Hemispheres. While the Northern Hemisphere begins daylight saving time between March and April and ends it between September and November, the Southern Hemisphere does the opposite.

While much of the United States observes DST, a few places (Hawaii and most of Arizona, for example) do not. TimeandDate.com has a complete list of geographical locations that observe daylight saving time.

:woot: An extra hour sleep!

We put ours back last weekend. I wish we'd all alter our clocks at the same time these timezones are confusing enough without adding extra confusion.

I don't set my watch till after I get work as I work nights. Changing it earlier makes it confusing. It does mean on that day, I leave an hour earlier then I normally would and still get paid for the full eight hours.

I never thought about people working night shifts.. You must love DST lol!

We already changed ours. I love this time of year, the beautiful dark blue outside as the night draws in around 4pm. Bring on the Winter!
