How do you feel about ban evaders? People who keep registering using proxies or whatever to get on and pester a community?

How do you deal with them? Have you ever seen this?

Fortunately, I have minimal experience with this issue.

I suppose the persistent ban evader would get tired of making new email accounts after all his/her email addresses are banned (assuming email validation is on).

If that didnt work I suppose I'd have to approve each new account manually. Maybe have a chat with the new potential member before I validated their account. I'd probably make a special validating forum that only validating members and staff could see.

I try my best to tackle ban evaders by banning every IP address they come under. I had this happen just once on my forum two years and I have to say... it really stressed me out

The answer: 10 minute mail.

the thing is to have fun with them before admin bans them

Heh, a forum for members who are waiting to have their emails validated by the admin? Now that seems like an interesting concept, because they can still be a part of the community, only their access to certain features would be restricted. I kind of like that actually.
