Diana’s brother said she had been hunted by the paparazzi.

What do you think of the journalists who followed her everywhere?

Do you think Diana’s death was murder or a tragic accident?

She was definitely hounded by the press, everywhere she went. Especially after starting her relationship with Dodi Al Fayed, people couldn't leave her well enough alone. I'd say it played a HUGE factor in her death, but hard to gauge how culpable they would be.

She was beautiful, a treasure, and her volunteer work was commendable.
The downside of celebrity is that at some point you are finished with paparazzi, but they are never finished with you (not speaking from experience).
It was a tragic accident, caused by "our" incessant desire to be a part of celebrity life.

I have no desire to be a part of that life at all.

I TOTALLY believe in the conspiracies surrounding her death! Royalty has no laws or limits.

I'm not sure that I TOTALLY buy into the conspiracies, but I do think there's surely room & grounds to believe. Really makes me seriously wonder anyhow. :cautious:

I don't necessarily think Diana's death was an assassination (at least not a deliberate one) but her treatment over the years probably helped sour me on the royals as a whole. I mean, I've been a republican (in the sense of wanting to eliminate the monarchy here in Canada) probably since university (mid-80s) but the whole Diana thing certainly did not help matters. Her approach was entirely what the family needed to appear more relevant and appealing in the twentieth and twenty-first century and they did everything in their power to rein her in instead of running with it.

I like Diana but it not anyone elses fault that they wanted to speed and drive dangerously even if it was to get away from spies etc...

Also as much as Iike her when looked at everything objectively she was as much to blame as Charles they both were unfaithful during the same times and she actually plotted against the best interests of the Crown just like Harry and Megan are doing now so I can understand what Diana and Harry and Megan are being disowned by the Crown...

Neither one of them were driving, Henri Paul was. Diana and Dodi Fayed were in the back. The contradictions come into play when some say Henri Paul was blinded by camera flashes and crashed, some say he veered deliberately, some say he lost control because of speed, but the end result was the crash and the loss of 3 lives.

Yeah I know their chauffer was driving but they no doubt told their driver to drive fast instead of drive slow but in either case their actions are more to blame then the photographers...

Media is ruthless. Anything to get a shot. I've driven into the bridge where she got into the car accident and there's a huge memorial right outside of it. It's haunting knowing what happened there.
