Have you ever had a complete stranger come up and ask to pet your dog?
Asked what kind of breed he is? How old? Name? Other small talk?

How does that make you feel? Does your dog like attention from strangers?

Yes

Yes especially when my Greyhound was still alive. It was very rare, in my area, to see a Greyhound. They asked all kinds of questions about him.

It made me feel great that people were interested enough to ask me questions. Greyhounds are abused and often left for dead by their track owners. Why? They've lost too many races or they were not able to keep racing after being injured. My dog (Rikko) had whip and burn marks all over him when I first rescued him. They are the sweetest dogs anyone could ever have the pleasure to own.

At first, Rikko, was afraid of strangers. No wonder after all the beatings and abuse he took from a human. I took him to classes where he could not only interact with other dogs but with people as well. Didn't take him long to want to be the center of attention.

When I had a dog, people always commented on him when I took him to the park or wherever. He didn't really like attention from strangers so he didn't pay them any attention when they tried to pet him, sometimes he'd even step back to doge the pets.
