Do you promote your website on social media? Has it worked out for you or is it a waste of time?

I used to, it got a little bit of traffic, but mostly it was a waste of time.

Not anymore.
I have since retired most of my hobby websites.

I haven't really tried to. I suppose paid ads on social media would be effective.

I do as the other way anything will get around is "word of mouth" with sharing etc. I have bought into ads a few times. which them can get expensive. I am also going more organic too by doing promotional items, business cards, coffee mugs, shirts etc.

Best way to advertise is within your community, depending on the product or service

I have a forum and due to only being specific to reach out to Jcink users, I don't really bother. Besides, I'm not much of a social media kind of guy anyway.
