I read e-books through my iPad using the Kobo app. They have really good discount at times and I also am able to use my local library to download various books. Do you use an e-reader?

I had bought my kids a Kindle Fire each. Then apps came out with these toys that you could teleport into the game, so they needed a tablet with a front camera on it. I went out and bought a Kindle Fire HD and I took over one of the regular Kindle Fires. I will read books on it here and there.

I thought about getting my little one an android tablet. What made you want to go with the Kindle?

I look at product reviews and comparisons a lot when deciding what to buy. At the time when I got the Kindle Fires for my kids, it was #2 on a list I was looking at. iPad was #1, but it was double what the Kindle was and I had bought my kids iTouches in the past, but Apple did a major update that ended up making the 3rd gen iTouches nothing more than a paper weight. So I am against Apple now. The Kindle is nice, it really is, but what bothers me is the fact that their app store doesn't get apps in a timely fashion. Usually Google Play store and iTunes gets the apps and then a few weeks to months later, then Kindle will. My son is crazy about Angry Birds apps and when the Telepods came out, he wanted it now, now, now... it was out for everything but the Kindle for the longest time. If I had to go back and choose to buy the Kindle again, I'd go for a Google Nexus (7 or 10).

Ah I see, so Google (Android) is the way to go. :highfive:

In my opinion, but I've had Apple, I've had Kindle... never google. I've always had an android phone and I've never had a problem with it, seems like I've had problems with apple products and the small app issue on the kindle.
