I can honestly say that the individual I have in mind was one of the most clueless, totally oblivious, and absolutely pathetic adults I have ever known.
If Wal Mart sold personalities, he got his in the clearance aisle.
He had been appointed to his position as a political favor to a family that had written a big check to the Democratic Party in the state, and had no idea what the hell he was supposed to be doing. Period.
Besides being barely literate, he had no concept of the chain of command, could not run a meeting, and did even know most of those under him belonged to a union.
Unfortunately, at the time he was hired, I was one of the shop stewards, and I got to explain it to him.
It didn't do any good.
After the next election, he got to move to Florida.
