eBooks?

I wouldnt read a book on the computer. I'd ink up my printer cartridge and print it all out.

I wonder if that would be cheaper than buying the book or not.

I don't know--adding up the cost of the paper, the ink.....it would probably be more expensive...(depending on how long the book was)

Some stores advertise really good deals on eBooks. Some specialty books are much cheaper, because you don't pay shipping. I've read a few eBooks on ,my computer.. But that's because I was on holidays, and nowhere close to a book store. I'd rather read a hard copy though.

Some ecofriendly people like this, as it gives them an alternative to using many trees for a book. Like I'm sure a full forest could have been saved if the Breaking Dawn series was all done on eBook

I've done it but it's so tough to read it once your eyes have been glued to the screen for hours and hours.

I took an e-course recently and was just given a Christmas gift of an e-book. It's wonderful. Herbs, bath salts, scrubs..... I can't wait to get the garden planted this spring in order to grow the right herbs and make some of these cool things.....

Fun stuff--gardening, crafts, cooking--3 of my most favorite activities.

I have been discussing this topic not so long ago on my forum.

What I said was that I wouldn't want an e-book, because I love books. I grew up with books, and I love the look and the feel of them, and prefer holding a book in my hand than a piece of metal and plastic.

Also, I already have quite a few books, and don't see why I should get rid of them just so I can buy them again, and e-books cost just as much as the real thing.

I am sure e-books are great for some people, especially those who don't care much for real books or don't have the space to store them or who always go on holiday with at least 5 or 10 books, which I don't.

To me a book is more than just the paper the words are printed on, and I love going into the bookshops and looking for new books. It would never be the same just downloading a book from a site. Can't explain it any better.

Only if they're programming related.

Personally, I find reading books on paper easier than on a computer, but for books that aren't literature it's a waste of paper.

Not often. I have two only because they books weren't available in paperback. Actually prefer physical books over ebooks.

Sometimes. Not often lately. I still prefer regular books, though do need to buy more e-books to save space eventually. XD
