What do you do when your eyes start to hurt after reading for too long? What I do is same thing I do for the computer as that is "reading" too. I set the timer. For the computer it's 15-30 minute intervals for reading, I like to go longer lol because if it's a good book, you just do not want to put it down! But I also suffer with eye fatigue so I set that timer for 30 minutes. If I have a cat on my lap, I just lean back & cup my palms over my eyes for a few minutes. If there is no cat, I get up & walk around. Splash water on my eyes & just do something else while thinking about what the next page would come up with!

My eyes do get strained after a while, but I'm usually ok if I just close them for a few minutes and go again :)

I just remember to blink often and to put my eyedrops in.

If I am on my computer too long my eyes do feel fatigued, strained and tired. Then I get off and go do some offline stuffs. I'll come back later when they're feeling better.
