Large field trips/camps: We went to Paris, London and Berlin (each for 5 days) and 2 weeks to Greece. Greece was amazing, because everything was organised, we saw all the major monuments and it was 2 weeks with all your friends in a warm country. Can't get much better than that.
Small field trips: We did loads of things. We went to Holland for a day, we went to the beach and saw a lot of WW I & II remains. Most of them were pretty boring though, we had to listen to boring explanations about the soil and other geology/geography crap.
