Dont you think its pretty damn confusing that two sports are named the same thing?

We should compromise.

Although the American football ball might be shaped as an egg, it's still a ball. And I agree that American football should change the name to something like Handball. Because the only time that American football players use the ball with their feet, is when they kickoff, do a field goal, and punt that ball.

I was watching some America Football on ESPN last night and I couldn't understand how the game works.

Same here I never really liked football that much. To play or watch. But I do always watch the super bowl.. Not watching it is unamerican!

American Football is alot more interesting due to the fans, the drama and of course the hits. Its a american tradition and were not going to change the name.

Fair comment.

After all, it's the Brits who came up with the name soccer anyways (if I'm not mistaken).

I would love to play Handegg,

I love Football simply because i live in England and we hardly play the other Football here XD

Football is the correct term for football.

Soccer is the correct term for soccer.

American Football is great--all those beefy guys running around in those tight little pants and playing regardless of the weather--cold, hot, snowy, muddy, and .......I had a point,....

Anyway--I love American Football, wish it was on every night--hubby however, isn't as much of a fan, although he does watch the super bowl.
