Do you use a type of currency on your forum? they are widely used on promotion forums to buy services and such. On other forums, you can buy special goods such as a usertitle or even change your username! I think it's pretty neat, personally. =3

There's novelty to it, but unless it is used in such a way that generates a purpose, it isn't really necessary. I think that I might have used it once or twice when I was running a forum, can't say for certain if I actually had anything that members could buy. *shrugs*
I never used it on any forum I ran but I been on forums that had it but it ends up mostly being another number that goes up that people treat like their post count. I suppose it might have value on a RPG board or a promotion forum but that's about it to be honest.
No. Forum currency is not important at all on my forum, and would just be stupid to have.
I used to use points/forum cash yes even if I hadn't really anything for the system at the time the forum was launched it would give the users a head start should something be of use to the system in the future and most times I came up with tasks/contests. Otherwise I would just remove the points system.
