There is no nice way for me. I tell them how it is straight.
If someone has upset or angered me, I tell them. Depending on their actions then, they can either save the friendship, or I walk.

Actually it doesn't matter with me. If I am really hating somebody, I would tell him to just go away either politely or rudely. Won't make a big difference for me.
