Hi ppl, my account was migrated from Pulse Chatter and I'm very happy to be here!

I do like the idea of a whole forum being off topic. It's kinda like the paradox of "this statement is false". Clever.

I look forward to many happy conversations here. :)

I also run my own forum, founded just last year, of which @Nebulous is also a member, which you might like to check out and perhaps join.

Nice to see you here!

What does FTL stand for?
Thankyou muchly!

It stands for Faster Than Light and it stems from the sci-fi enthusiast in me. It's also a really short username, which I like.

btw, that orange thing in my avatar, is actually a photo of the sun that I grabbed off the internet. Fun fact: the sun is actually white, with a hint of yellow when viewed from space. It's our atmosphere that makes it appear yellow or orange.

Oh that is cool. I like it :D

I didn't know that about the sun.

Oh indeed, not surprising as so many pictures enforce that notion, along with movies and TV. For example, the Superman movies and TV series refer to "our yellow sun" as giving our protagonist his powers and when we see it from space in the programs, it looks yellow, reinforcing this erroneous view.

I wanted to attach a picture of the sun looking white, but the forum isn't letting me, so just click on the article below to see it. It's an interesting article, too. You can see the sun is white in the thumbnail, too.
