Homosexuality

I thought God loves and accepts everyone.

Yeah thats true.

I remember my friend was telling me that god is supposed to forgive everyone, so even if it is a sin. God would still forgive you.

Look at the Westboro Church, famous for their God Hates Fags campaign. They run around accusing gay people of being evil, horrible people, but in reality, they're the evil ones.

Some people in the church are supposed to be holy but all they do get off as evil themselves. Very strange.

I have a question, can a priest be gay? becuase on law and order there was a gay priest and he had a boyfriend (who was much younger than him btw) . But I don't think any church would allow a gay priest.

Jonathan your an odd one, you have a good belief on marriage as I saw in another thread. But when it comes to homosexuals you just pass on it. Just like you said it's a bond of love, but I guess that doesn't always apply for you.

I guess not. I believe that marriage should only be between a man and a woman. That's my beliefs. But this does not mean I hate or shun (is that how you spell that word?) homosexuals. If my gay friend gets married in the future, I would still turn up to the ceremony and congratulate him and his partner.

What I want to say is that, I do not support gay marriages but I respect and love homosexuals. I accept them for who they are.

Do you believe that it is right or wrong for a man and a man to marry or a woman and a woman to marry?
It's not for me to judge others. Who am I to say what's right or wrong?

What's your opinion on homosexuality?
Same as my first answer.

I could care less if two men or two women want to be together. Have at it, its none of my business! Im just sick of NOT ALL but a lot gays acting and being treated like they are some special class of race and society treating them like they should have special rights.

Second I am against government sponsored marriage. Meaning government in no way should they be involved in marriage and handing out favors and tax deductions in any way for anyone. So in that sense I am against government growing larger so I am against government sponsored gay marriage. After saying that though NO PERSON is stopping anyone from getting married. Anyone no matter who you are can go and get married right now. Just some wont get the freebies from government that this whole argument is all about and nothing else when you break it all down.

There were no christians and no religion when the world was created. There was God and a man then a woman. Their children married their siblings and filled the earth. The world went to hell and was wiped out aside one family. From that one family, again their children married each other and built their clans and filled the earth. From that one family came all the religions from buddhism to christianity.

That's the christian history of the world (or the Hebrews history of the world).

Being gay is no more pagan than being straight is christian. People got married before christians even existed. Adam and Eve weren't christians, they were Gods direct children (directly made unlike us). I think they were in a union that could be understood as a marriage?

Anyway... in this world marriage is a union of two people til death do them part. Or til you can't stand your spouse any longer. Or til you fall in love with another person. Or whatever. (Why is it two people in our modern world anyway? David had tons of wives, Gods chosen one and he loved Jonathan more than his wives).

I don't think anyone should spin the christian card to stop someone else from forming a union til death do them part. Or they can't stand their spouse any longer. Or they fall out of love. Or whatever. Mainly because christians follow christian beliefs. Buddhists follow buddhist beliefs. And you know.. everyone seems to want to dictate what someone from some other religion or no religion should or shouldn't do. Isn't it enough you follow your own beliefs in your belief system? And not put the burden of your beliefs on someone who doesn't belong to your belief system until they choose to belong to it.

The world isn't a christian world. It's not wrong to be gay unless you're in a religion that says so.

Aahh all this blabbing on my part.. I could have just said no it's not wrong and no I don't think it's wrong to be gay. I think it's all just human nature in needing to pick on something or someone to feel better about yourself.

Even as the Obama administration denounced what it called anti-gay legislation in Arizona and the president sat out the Sochi Olympics because of Russia’s crackdown on same-sex couples, the State Department allowed an Islamic preacher who called for the death penalty for homosexuals into the country for a tour of hate.

Sheikh Mohammad Rateb al-Nabulsi was issued a visa for a 17-city tour of US mosques to raise money and support for the Syrian uprising. He arrived New Year’s Day.

The radical Syrian cleric has made no secret of his virulent anti-gay views. Appearing April 28, 2011, on al Aqsa TV, the official network of the Hamas terrorist organization in Gaza, al-Nabulsi said: “Homosexuality involves a filthy place and does not generate offspring. Homosexuality leads to the destruction of the homosexual. That is why, brothers, homosexuality carries the death penalty.”
