Social anxiety could be a big challenge to deal with. When you feel socially anxious, you tend to avoid people. Under such kind of circumstances, you may have difficulty dealing with meeting new people. In many cases, several people may need therapy in order to deal with this problem. So, what are some of the best tips to deal with social anxiety?
 
Sometimes we just pretend that we have the confidence in social gatherings till we eventually have it. The last time I attended one hangout and my heart was beating so fast. It is awkward at first but once I talk to one person, my body relaxes. Then I start to relate freely. So, the confidence builds up gradually.
 
Anyone that wants to overcome social anxiety should not rush and try to be associating with crowds at first. They should start with getting free with a small social circle of 3, and expand it as they get more comfortable with them.
 
I have switched to being a good listener to help myself overcome social anxiety. By shifting the focus from myself to the other person, I don't have the allowance to get worried about myself in social interactions.
