But the $700 is not in my budget and I'm also not sure about the glass. Seems like the glass edges might be easily chipped. My iPhone is so old I'd just love a new edge and get away from apple. Does anyone know anything about the edge?

I just saw an as for the 6 edge $950 for the 128gig and no contract tmobil. Not really an option....

Yeah the Edge is cool don't get me wrong but i would stay away from it for now. Let it be around for a few months so that they can release new updates and get some stuff fixed. then buy it if you really want it. I have a LG G3 solid phone I love it. The S5 is a awesome phone too.
Agreed with the S5. It wins over the S6 on waterproofing, USB 3.0, microSD expansion and being a low-cost option. Believe me, where I live it costs $460 USD (Exynos-powered version) vs the $930 USD for the regular S6.

Wow that's quite a difference! It will take me many months to save up for it anyhow since it's such an extravagant purchase I'm not about to use savings for that kind of thing but I will eventually want to get one. I'll have to find somewhere I can actually see it on display to try it out when I get closer to buy one

@Dee I agree. You have to look at it from a business standpoint though. As technology grows and Tech companies and business in general grows people demand hard hitting and great phones in order to get their job done on the road. Thus you have your notes and that kind of phone.

The only Samsung product with aluminium body, decent SoC (Snapdragon 410 64-bit) and 4.5" screen is the Galaxy A3. It costs about $260 USD over here.
I know. I just still hate big phones. Even the size of my Nexus 5 is still rather big, so I'm not terribly used to it. For me, a phone has always been a phone and a way to connect to the internet, but nothing more. I don't watch TV or movies on it, etc. It's business and personal.

They really have changed from 10 years ago. Heck I remember having a razor phone and that was all the rage. So I agree phones have changed so much and they are so big. It's tiresome to keep up with so many of them.

Also add the fact some people with high-end potatoes FROM 2014 (Galaxy S5 and Note 4 being prime examples) want to switch to the S6 without thinking twice about it. The S6 isn't waterproof and relies on internal storage only (similar to the iPhone, there's a budget MediaTek phone which has that disadvantage) so there's really no point on doing that. If someone has an S2 or S3, though, I'd recommend that person the Exynos-powered GN4 instead.
