If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?

My decision will largely depend on my financial situation and finding the best place to live.
While every destination is wonderful for a vacation, as I age, I need to consider access to quality healthcare
Additionally, it's crucial to live in a place where women are treated with respect.
I can adapt to everything else over time, I've done it once and I can do it again.

I must say, I'm happy where I am now :)

England or Australia

Greece, honestly more so because I'm Greek, but also the very beautiful scenery and culture. i've been romanticizing being able to move there for a long time. hopefully one day!

We're looking at homes near a lake for retirement, but there aren't many where we currently live. We might be moving to South Carolina to live on the same lake my husband's sister's live on, but can we tolerate the hot summers?

So to answer the OP, living next to a lake is where we'd want to live. I'd prefer a quiet lake as opposed to a busy vacation one with high speed boats, skiers, etc... Nice and quiet.

Who in their right mind would want to live in England? I do and I hate it.

To answer the question, Canada.

What's wrong with England? I've never been there but always wanted to go visit and I have relatives who live there. I probably won't ever make it over the ocean, but a girl can dream.

The Government is too draconian, it is no longer a democracy and whole setup is beyond a joke. Our freedom is being eroded and the elderly, disabled and poor are being sacrificed for the sake of the wealthy.

I would like to live on the Pacific West Coast, near one of the small towns like Astoria , Oregon, and actually any of the towns along the Washington or Oregon Coast. I now live in Alabama, and we are just too far away to see the ocean like I was able to do when I lived in Western Washington State.
Astoria is a beautiful little town, and if you have ever watched the little robot movie, Short Circuit, it was filmed in Astoria. It is located right where the Columbia River enters the Pacific Ocean, and is a nice little fishing town with a great history.

We have shitty weather, and the cost of living is high. I still would stay where I am.

If I were younger and healthier, off grid in Alaska.
Otherwise, I'll stay in Appalachia, thank you.
