If you could make one thing illegal, what would it be?

How you explain to the rest of the world why this one thing is now illegal?

Religion. It is the bane of most issues in the world. Not even money is as big of a problem. I would explain it as giving people back their freedom. Before anyone says "taking away the ability to be religious isn't freedom", religion is the main driving force behind all the hate in our world right now. You cannot tell me with a straight face that religion is helping anyone right now.

I am not religious but I know a few people who are and it helps them. Helps them find peace and get through the day. Nothing wrong with that as long as they aren't pushing their beliefs on the rest of us (and the ones I know who are religious don't try to force anything on me).

I would make it illegal for people to stop in the middle of the grocery aisle with their carts just standing there with no intention of moving to the side to let others through. Why should it be illegal? It's annoying. The grocery store aisle doesn't belong to that person. If you don't know what you want kindly move to the side, without the nasty looks, so others can move through freely.

Note:
It should also be illegal to leave a bathroom after doing a number 2 without washing your hands.

There are no 'lower' classes, Dee. We are all human and all equal.

I agree. Its fine if someone does it absent mindedly or thinks they're alone in an aisle, but I hate it when they do see you and they slowly move or make you wait and don't bother to say "Excuse me" or "Sorry"

I believe she was talking about lower in pay, not them being less human.

In what I've just heard and read about, I would love to have hazing in colleges and universities to be 100% illegal. I've seen so many lives of students being taken away too soon, and I say enough is enough.

@Dee I cannot stand billionaires, so I'm on board with you on that sentiment.

Lower pay fair enough, but that does not make anyone of a lower class of society. The social class system is just as evil as South Africa's apartheid, India's caste system and America's segregation.

And sheer political differences among those with no professed faith don't contribute to hate.

I know the sentiment there, Nebby; I'm one of those for whom religion has been a virtual lifesaver.

Remind me, Reddington, to tell you about the past few years and how some now Adventist friends of mine helped save my life and then try to repeat what you said there.

Taking people's stuff, rights, and money that you do not own or have agreeance to take. Okay, I know that is already illegal, but hear me out.... Also including if you are the government.
YES!!!!
What about property tax? I'd love to get rid of that too.
Thats what @Uncrowned was saying in the quote above. Get rid of it (or reduce it)
has been a virtual lifesaver.
Glad you're still here with us!

Acting in a way which compromises the ability of others to realize their human rights. Essentially enshrining the universal declaration of human rights and subsequent declarations. We have had the declarations for some time now, yet they have never adequately been enforced as so many behaviours which contribute to their violations are not even recognized as crimes.
