Is Ignorance Truly Bliss?

It’s an old adage, but how does it hold up in day to day life? Can we be unhappy if we remain ignorant of life’s truths?

Absolutely.
Until it bites you.
Vote.
Take the car to a mechanic.
See a doctor.
Check up on that friend.

Hell no.

Especially for the intelligent.

It is actually downright sad, and dangerous in the long run..

Its depressing to be in a country where more than half the adults in it couldn't read above a 6th grade reading level..

This doesn't bode well for the nation, or the people in it.. because it means that anyone looking to abuse this, could easily do so, all they would have to do is use a lot of big words, and a be longer than a few sentences and the people would be like, "LOL tl;dr.." like it is a flex or something..

I am beginning to wonder if this is a feature and not a bug..

.......all they would have to do is use a lot of big words, and a be longer than a few sentences.........
Isn't that what our politicians & attorneys do? and we like it?

Most often I have found that ignorance has put me at a major disadvantage.

…I guess that it’s not so etching that has a definite answer in that ‘ignorance’ for certain people and regarding certain things can be a better way…I mean, if something being disclosed then led a path to something awful happening/a violent act or whatever…but ignorance also breeds fears…as humans, we can often be scared of what we don’t understand and misinformation Is not good …so it’s depending on the ‘ignorance’…I guess….

What you do not know will not hurt you... However the law says, "Ignorance of the law excuses no one". It's better to be informed, it's better to know than knowing nothing.
