If someone tells you a joke and its not funny, do you fake laugh at it just to be nice?

I tell them a funnier one. Well, at least I think it is. No one gets my jokes. They're either obscure or George Carlin related. 70% of the time I botch it up.



My favourite: A man walks into a bar. Ouch.

Yeah, I usually give a chuckle, or some kind of reaction that shows I liked it. But if it's lame, (generally it's my best friend or my son) I just smack them on the arm, and say quit being punny

If a joke is not funny I normally do a sarcastic laugh.

It depends on the person. If it's someone I am close to, then I immediately tease them about it. If it's someone that I am not close to, then I awkwardly give one half-hearted hah and say,That's funny. Words cover my lack of laughter.
