The blog that stumbled upon this video calls it an "Earthflow" which seems a more apt name for this terrifying phenomenon. Trees are mowed down like blades of grass, power lines swept up like noodles — kudos to the cameraman who remains calm as can be.

Looks like a slag heap from a mine suddenly 'slumped' and spread out when the snow began to melt.

This kind of phenomenon happens occasionally, and is always fascinating to watch from afar.

Remember the massive one in Washington State about this time last year?
