No.. Never heard of a gay marriage. Marriage is between man and woman. Plus, Alabama is not a very gay friendly state if you know what a mean.

Frankly, I think it should be legalized everywhere. Gays, Lesbians, and Bi's have just as much of a right to get married to their lover as anyone else does.

Looks like a debate topic found its way into the poll forum.

I say gay people should be married. If they want to be miserable like straight people then go for it!

It shouldn't be called marriage, how about gayage or something? Next thing you know, you'll see people in America marrying their pets and pillows.

It's legal where I live and I think it should be legal everywhere.

It's legal here as well, I don't see a reason why they shouldn't be able to get married.

Gayage? Sounds a bit disrespectful if you ask me.

When did gay become offensive to homosexualities? That's what they're parading down the street in their spandexes for, gay marriage. No such thing as gay marriage, so I suggest gay + marrage = gayage. I'm sorry, but I'm tired of hearing about this gay parade crap and their rights to get married. Who seriously has that much time on their hands? Anyways, they just want to go down the street yelling about their rights and crap, but they live in the greatest nation with the most liberties and freedoms, but abusing the system isn't very nice. Soon, you'll see people marring their cats and dogs, then, we'll follow that Japense man and marry our pillow. It's getting ridiculous.

Gays being allowed to marry is equivalent to letting a man be the first lady if his wife become president. No, he shouldn't be the first lady, first man is better. They're asking for something that's stupid and ignorant.

You have people getting blown up everyday by suicide bombers in the middle east, Iran trying to make nukes, children dying of cancer everyday... Stop this gay parade crap and put that money towards something constructive. Put a ring on your partner and pretend you're married. No one will know the difference. Just do it, stop being a brat about it.

So once they get married, they're going to want to adopt children, then their children are going to be gay, then it's a repeat process.

I never said it became offensive to them. I said calling it Gayage just sounded offensive. And since when is fighting for a right like this or any other kind of right stupid and ignorant? And who necessarily said that a gay couple raising a child. That the kid would turn out Gay? It would just mean the kid's liable to be more open minded. And if he or she does become Gay, then that's something that happened. Not really cause of being around and raised by Gay people. And I highly doubt we'll be seeing people fighting for rights to be able to marry animals or pillows. People might be a bit out there. But even that is a bit too much.

Plus, since when was it a waste of time to fight for a right of any kind?

This poll is slightly screwy... If it is legal and you don't want to change you vote no, but if it's illegal and you want it to change you'll vote yes...

Anyhow, it's legal, I don't care, don't really see why they wouldn't be able to get married...

You're the epitome of the word stupid. How do gay people come into existence? Homosexuality doesn't just rub off onto you, it's not a disease you catch if a gay person sneezes on you. Having gay parents won't make you gay, unless (and this is a big UNLESS) they actively try and get you to pursue a homosexual lifestyle.

Your examples are completely asinine to the topic at hand. A better example would be to use the women's rights parades and such that used to be held. Oh, wait...those were stopped when those rights were given. Because we're all human, male or female, and therefore we should be allowed to do the same things in essence.

Your comment on marrying pets/pillows... Are you truly that ignorant? If you can prove to me that your dog or pillow wants to marry, then I'll concede and say they can. But as it stands, neither of your examples implicitly have the ability to voice their desires for romantic interest. So again, that's just ignorant and more than a little stupid. You could possibly marry a parrot if it were able to say without just mimicking, I want to marry you, but aside from that your example is entirely without merit.

Your comment on living in the greatest nation with the most liberties and freedoms is nothing but a faux-pas attempt to derail the actual meaning behind what you say. Regardless of how amazing your country is, the fact remains that human rights and equality should be extended without anything held back to every single human being in the world. People such as yourself are the only real poison to that, since you seem to desire an archaic country where everyone is equal, except the gays, the blacks, and the Jews.

Oh, by saying first man is better, you're implying male dominance. Your whole post is the epitome of stupid and ignorant, for the simple fact it's the most common mindset of people who merely act in the manner of oh my GOD A GAY GET AWAY FROM ME!

Demeaning the fact they're fighting for their rights is again, worthless. At least they're taking action. The war doesn't matter to them, life goes on with or without it. Kids dying of cancer doesn't matter to them, it has no effect on their standard of life and living. Iran making nukes doesn't affect them, because whether they campaign for rights or not, Iran will make nukes. What DOES matter is the fact they're standing up and saying I'm human. You're human. Why aren't we the same?

Ignorant, ignorant, ignorant. Do you even know the basic figures behind how many gay people are victimized simply because of this unchangable fact of life? Doubtful. You would rather take your soapbox of lol gay people and preach about things that matter. Good job.

Regarding the actual topic at hand, I think people should be allowed to marry regardless of their sexual preference. Does the marriage of two men really affect the country that much? No, it doesn't. Obama's not going to burst into flames or have God smite him with a lightning bolt for allowing two people who love each other to show it.

I think it's discriminatory not to allow it, but I wouldn't go out of my way to make a change to the law.

Legalize it. It's not hurting anyone, and if you do get offended by it, get a life.
