Have you ever been let down? I'm sure in one way or the other we've all been let down from time to time, or should I say, disappointed in something or someone.

When's the last time you were disappointed? How did you deal with it?

Personally, I was let down by a couple good friends yesterday. Without going into much detail, I'll sum up how I feel. It seems like I'm always there for them, but it seems like when I need them the most, they're nowhere to be found.

Life is full of disappointments. They are thrown at us so we can learn from them. I deal with it head on figuring out why it happened and how to correct it in the future. I don't rely on anyone but MYSELF to be there to assist me through it. Friends can't be there 24/7 and quite frankly, it's me dealing with the disappointment not them. I've learned a long time ago that things happen for a reason. Just have to figure out the reason and go from there. Bad days don't get me down as I find them a challenge. Without a challenge, how boring life would be.

I always get disappointed when I invite someone to do something and they aren't available or don't want to go. Happened yesterday.

Besides petty stuff like that, I applied for a supervisor job somewhere else and I didnt even make it past the 1st 5-minute pre-screening interview.

How do I deal with it? I dwell on it for a little bit and then try to get my mind off it when I realize there is no point dwelling on something I can't change.

Same here!

Also, I tend to expect the worst, then you can never really be disappointed. It's a pretty pessimistic way to look at things, but it means that there's the odd occasion where I'm surprised by how great people can be.
