What is everyone's opinions?

I personally don't worry about any of that stuff because i don't think that there is a way too honestly tell. I mean, if there is life after death that would be cool, but worry about it. It would be cool too come back as an animal or something haha.

I think that you mean existence after death, just like existence before birth...

Would be cool. Not exactly counting on it.

But that would be too vague. My corpse would exist after my death.

To come back as an animal is Reincarnation.
Animals do tend to live though, so it's not entirely incorrect... I guess.

I'm not too concerned, but I do believe in heaven. I'd be fine if I just rot in the ground though, I'll be dead after all.

Of course. But it wouldn't cease to exist

But, for example, if the body (corpse) was burnt (cremated) it would then no longer exist as a body but rather as ashes! Either case, energy cannot be either created or destroyed, it just changes form...

Don't you mean matter? A body/corpse isn't energy.

The continuation of the 'spirit' of the person in some form as a coherent self?
Well, a coherent self does not necessarily always need a physical body...and in some cases the self is not coherent even when in a physical body...

True, I suppose.

E = m*c[sup]2[/sup]. Though I wouldn't count on much atomic decay happening to your body

That's not necessarily true in all forms of life after death, is it?
