Are you concerned with the way farm animals are kept and treated?

For example, would you choose to buy free-range eggs / chicken or grass fed beef from the grocery store?

Yes, I do think that "food" animals are mistreated, especially by comparison to the way most of us would treat our pets. More so by "corporate farms". But I do think, hopefully, there have been improvements in some of those ways of "management" in recent years.
Yes, I like to buy eggs labeled "cage free". Although generally less marbled, and tougher, I think grass-fed beef is healthier; but in most cases, an InstantPot is necessary; and, this meat is usually too expensive. As is any beef these days, but that's drifting off topic. I think most large herds of cattle are mostly free-range until shortly before market and are "finished-off" & fattened up by 'graining'; but.......feed lots are truly gross!

We buy organic. Definitely don't support CAFO (Concentrated Animal Feeding Operation). The best thing is to get to know the local farms & support those who use sustainable practices. We are fortunate to have one close by where we frequent. The price is higher but we rather pay for animal welfare & support local.
