Do you think money actually buys happiness? :money:

Why or why not?

To me money doesn't buy happiness. Because if it came down to me choosing, I would choose my family over money.

Money definitely helps enhance happiness but does not create happiness. I was very happy with my wife when we first started out piss poor. Now since having my own business and living a very comfortable life our happiness together really makes having money that much better to have more time doing things we enjoy.

Having lots of things does not make you happy but rather finding contentment amidst what you do have now is what makes you happy. More often then not, wealthy people aren't as happy as they make themselves out to be for man is a pro at deceiving others as they are in deceiving themselves. There are of course needs to be met such as having food water and shelter that are requirements of being happy and those do require money but having money on its own beyond what one needs to sustain their life and lives of the family they care for does not mean they will find happiness in that.

I think if you don't know how to appreciate it doesn't matter whether you have money or not. I think the ability to appreciate is part of being and staying happy more so than the amount of money you use.
