More serious?

I always find, myself included sometimes, that people actually get more serious and lot less "jokey" I guess you could say, when they're posting around.

Off Topix is around 1 of 3 forums I've only posted around being more myself without trying to make sure my spelling, grammar is looking sharp.

I believe it's the high demand on forums now where if you don't post in this "HQ/High Quality" you get bashed. But sometimes it's just pretty nice to chill out, be social and to have fun on forums

What do you think? Are you sometimes more serious and probably post how you wouldn't talk?

Depends. Debates are a prime example of those 'serious' discussions. Or on forums where they're more focused on politics/debates than general topics where everyone can relate to.

Sometimes I feel a place has a much nicer atmosphere when the members aren't always serious and can just kick back and chillax

Yes. Like Feedback Exchange, for example. Currently, I am debating with Zeus (the king of the gods), Obama, and the Ghost of Washington about the future of 'Murica in a private staff thread.
