How are you with needles? I've got an extreme phobia but I had to have a blood test this morning. For the first time for a long time I didn't even feel it

I'm okay with needles. I was nervous about having to be poked with them, but I forced myself as a teen to watch and just got more comfortable. When I was hospitalized, I was probably poked 20+ times, had to deal with a couple infiltrations, too. Now it's meh. It doesn't bother me at all.

I hate stuff with needles. Though I hate getting like shots more then getting blood tests.

I didn't even feel it

How are you with needles?

I can handle shots/jabs just fine. Its over in a second anyway.

I'm not phobic but don't like jabs.
Certainly not nice when a nurse can't find the vein. Usually get told to drink plenty of water before going so's not to be dehydrated

Soooo I've always hated needles and still get anxious thinking about them but I think the covid vax lessened it quite a bit because of how easy and simple it was. Made me realize it wasn't as big a deal as I've always made it

I always felt like most people do not like getting stabbed with needles, so I always found it odd when people say "I don't like needles" as no one does.

In case you aren't aware, needle phobia is very different to just not liking a needle.

What are the symptoms of trypanophobia?

People with trypanophobia have intense anxiety at the sight or thought of a procedure involving a needle. Sometimes, this anxiety is so severe that it's debilitating. It may lead to a panic attack (a sudden wave of anxiety that causes physical symptoms).
Needle phobia may cause people to avoid or even run away from medical care. Other signs of trypanophobia may include:
Hope that clarifies things if you weren't already aware. Many aren't, surprisingly :)

I'm glad you've somehow overcome your phobia :)
Even with vaccinations I always feel the sting. Most people don't. And I have to lie down to get it, else I faint. Someone always has to be with me. It's a scary moment for them.
