Got a new camera with my Christmas money! Its a Sony Cybershot 14.1 MP. Takes really good pictuers and video. To bad the weather is crappy right now or I'd go take some pics.

Aw, that's gotta suck about the nasty weather. Hopefully it clears out for you soon so you can try it outdoors! Congrats on the camera, Nebulous! I think that's kind of something how now days cameras are coming out with a camcorder feature. That's pretty cool.

How can you say that while grinning, Rapunzel?

Congrats!

She's talented - it's amazing the noises and tones you can make with enough practice while farting.

'grats, Nebulous; enjoy the camera!

Actually I think I am going to take it back. I went out taking pics today and half them came out blurry. Other ones it did screwy things to the colors.

Could it be some of the settings merely need tweaking?

Depending on what kind of camera it is, if it's one of those really fancy ones, then you might have to play around with the settings a bit until you find out what works best for you as far as taking pics. We had a digital camera that you could hook up to the computer to upload pics and stuff and I recall that taking quite a bit of getting used to as we had to dink around with a couple things till we got it how we wanted it. Some cameras are more fancier than others, so all you can do is play with the settings till you can come up with something that works.

Its not the settings, its the camera. I bought it open box (discounted price because the box was opened) and I can see why the 1st person took it back.

Besides the next model up in the cybershot series has HD 720p video & panoramic sweep picture capabilities. This one doesn't.

I might get that or get a different brand.

May I ask which store this was at?

Yeah, it might be better just to step up (if it isn't much more) and get those to extra goodies. the HD video is a bit overrated from my experience, but the panoramic sweep is very nice.

I bought it at best buy.

Ive bought other things there open box and never had any problems. They are supposed to inspect and test the stuff before they put it back out on the shelf. Guess they didnt do a good job with this one. They probably just hit the ON button and said Ok it works.

lol

Having once been an employee at Best Buy, the typical process was to do the latter in my experience lol.

I took it back and got a full refund. They are supposed to charge a 15% restocking fee on open-box item returns but I was chatting with the girl to keep her distracted.

I didn't get a new camera right away though. I'll shop around.
