Fascinating that Headliner blames the Republicans while other sources note that it seems to be Mr. Reid who is holding things up.



“There’s still significant distance between the two sides,” Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, Nevada Democrat, announced Sunday evening, though he said there was still time to reach agreement by Monday’s midnight deadline. “We intend to continue negotiations.”

Talks were so broken at one point Sunday that the top Republican negotiator, Sen. Mitch McConnell of Kentucky, bypassed Mr. Reid to speak directly with Vice President Joseph R. Biden.

With the way things are going, they might as well convert the halls of Congress into a circus and dress up all the congresspeople as clowns. I figure if they aren't going to do any work and instead act like clowns then they can at least attempt to amuse us by looking the part.
 
I look forward to the sequel when they go nuts after the debt ceiling gets reached again and no one wants to give Obama another debt ceiling increase without a little something in return. I wonder how long they can kick that can down the road before they run out of road?
