So some people are saying that on board graphics are getting top notch so a graphics card isn’t required anymore, I completely disagree but I wanna hear everyone else’s opinions!

No matter what a graphics card will always be superior but at the same time I’m not a fortune teller and could be wrong.

I have 2GB Radeon graphics. It works well and does the job. I am not a hardware wizard, but I understand enough to say the graphics card makes life easier.

I have a 4GB Graphics (not on-board an actual card) it’s a modern one released last year but for a computer released last year it does an amazing job! :D

Onboard cards are getting better and better, but dedicated graphic cards are still waaaay better.

Old games do work great on onboard cards though, so it's pretty cool. Games like online CCGs, or old strategy games. Used to play StarCraft on old laptops with crap onboard cards. Worked great!

They are talking about vRAM now. I am not sure what it is. But I was told if I am using the computer for rendering purpose, go for models with vRAM.

Onboard graphics are leaps and bounds better than they used to be.
That being said, for a desktop system, I much prefer a dedicated graphics card.

Always NVIDIA dedicated for me. I'm not fanATIc for ATI. :p
I tend to purchase NVIDIA cards, but only due to their raw performance.
NVIDIA is a greedy business that I would prefer not to buy from.

Hoping AMD keeps their ass this generation. We need good competition, or we'll see generational stagnation.
I personally enjoyed watching AMD catch NVIDIA with their pants down during this current generation.

Interesting. I've never been fond of ATI graphic cards. I had several AMD processors (Durons and Athlons) which I preferred over Intel Celerons and Pentiums, but when it came to graphic cards, I've always been an NVidiot. :p
