It depends, if it's just mild harmless fun on a trusted site, then sure but if it's on some random site and your giving all your information out, then I'd say thats a bit too far.

As long as its not borderline cybersex then its all in good fun. If it goes THAT far then they should start emailing each other in private.

If you know the person well enough, sure. But if you have a real life significant other, you should probably make it clear what the boundaries are.

I try to make sure if I am flirting that it's with someone that I know is of age....I'd hate to hit on a 14 year old--even if it was in fun. lol.

That is the beauty of my age. There are so few people of a bearable maturity who are at or below my age, so at the moment it isn't a very prominent concern.

Yeah--that can be a real issue--whether it's a guy or gal. No one wants the cops and the 6 o'clock news showing up on your doorstep. Letting you know that you've been flirting with a 13 year old kid. Not fun at all.

I don't really engage in this behavior with anyone except my fiancé.. and that is only because we chat via Skype when he is at work.

Harmless flirting is ok. Heck I even think I have done it a time or two. But people who do it need to be very cautious because things can get really nasty.

And be realistic. Don't do anything that will have the pedovan knocking on your doorstep

Online flirting (IMO) is a dangerous thing to do. You have no idea who you are flirting with including the age and mental stability of that person. If you are looking to get stalked then this is the best way to do it and don't complain when you are a victim of it.
