Parenting With The Enemy

Interesting...when legal concepts/precedents collide.

So, the rape victim who believes terminating a pregnancy is a sin against God not only has to relive her rape every time she looks into her child's eyes...she actually has to look into the eyes of her rapist while dropping off her child for visitation, because fathers have rights, too.

No problem. She should simply give birth and give it up for adoption. Ooops. He doesn't consent to the adoption, so she's forced to keep and raise it...or she gives up 100% custody to the rapist, who's now successfully created his own future *fucking*.

Perhaps he agrees to the adoption, but wants to retain his parental visitation rights. Now the adopted parents have to allow the rapist into their lives on a regular basis.

WOW. What a legal quandary and clusterfuck.

Oh. Wait. No, it's not. When you're convicted of a crime, you pay a penalty and - sometimes, even in rape cases - you serve time. People serving time have limited rights; this is one of those rights you give up. Just like you don't get to keep the money and enjoy the benefits of the booty from the bank you robbed once you've been caught,

you don't get to keep the proceeds and enjoy the benefits of any other crime you've committed, either. Easy-peasy.

'Patriarchal Society' and 'Patriarchal Application of Law'. ~Whew~ Praise Allah that as a 'Christian nation', we don't employ Sharia law...or anything even close to it.

:nope:

Any chance you could post a video link not through digg.com as you can only view this if you live in the states, so much for the freedom of the internet :wtf: yes I know I could use tor but don't want to mess about just to watch a video
