Python strangles sleeping boys above New Brunswick pet shop
Two young brothers were strangled by an escaped python during a sleepover at their best friend’s place in Campbellton, New Brunswick.

The two young brothers were having a sleepover at their best friend’s home in Campbellton, N.B., camped out in the living room as they so often did.

Only on Monday morning, they never woke up.

Connor and Noah Barthe, aged 7 and 5, were found dead after an African rock python escaped from its enclosure in a pet shop and strangled them in their friend’s apartment during the night.

That's not good at all. How did the snake get into the apartment, seeing how they were inside of an apartment for their camp-out?

RCMP Const. Julie Rogers-Marsh said the python apparently slithered into the ventilation system and ended up in the living room, where the boys were sleeping.

This is quite scary since there wasn't much for the people responsible for the boys could have done to prevent it.

Aha! I didn't know there was anything more to the article. I assumed Leftovers posted it in full and gave the source, which is what I usually do.

The facts in this story are not adding up for me. These two boys were having a sleepover at their best friends house.

Why were these two boys sleeping in the living room and not all three of them?

This snake couldn't possibly have killed both boys at the same time. Why did no one hear them screaming?

Pythons kill to eat. Why didn't this python eat one or both of these boys?

It's my belief that the other boy let the snake out to "scare" his friends. Then something went horribly wrong. There is no way I believe a snake this large python fell out of the ceiling and just happened to land in the living room where these boys were sleeping.

Nope, I'm not buying this one for one minute.

Bottom line is: two boys and a snake are dead.
True and it's very sad.
And now the politicians are going to pass more laws to "protect the children".
They need to ban the sale of these dangerous snakes. Who the hell in their right mind would want a python for a pet?
